A Chinese interpreter is especially important when a document, a text or business material is connected with China, a Chinese company, the purchase of a product, manufacturing, imports, technical information or an official procedure. Chinese translation is often needed for business, trade relations, contracts, product descriptions, and medical and technical documents.
You may need a Chinese translation when you have a document drawn up in Chinese and need it prepared in Georgian, or the other way round - when a Georgian document has to be translated into Chinese. Commonly translated items include contracts, invoices, product descriptions, technical instructions, company documents, bank statements, medical certificates, personal papers and official letters.
Chinese translation services
At TARGMANEBI the services of a Chinese interpreter cover the translation of documents, contracts, business texts, product descriptions, technical instructions, medical documents, legal materials, official letters and other texts. The service is available in both directions: from Chinese into Georgian and from Georgian into Chinese.
When translating a Chinese text, what matters is not only transferring the words but understanding the content correctly. Chinese stands out for its different structure, so the text has to be translated in such a way that the Georgian or Chinese version is natural, clear and fit for its purpose. A business document needs a clear form, a technical text needs precise terms, and official papers need the data to be given correctly.

Cantonese, Hong Kong and Macau documents
Cantonese is a southern variety of Chinese spoken in Guangdong Province, Hong Kong and Macau. In speech it differs so much from Mandarin, that is, standard Chinese, that speakers cannot understand each other freely. So if you need an oral interpreter for a Cantonese-speaking person at a meeting, at a notary or at a medical appointment, say so in advance when you order. In writing, however, official papers are written in the standard literary Chinese norm, so they are translated by a Chinese interpreter. The main difference lies in the script: mainland China uses simplified characters, while Hong Kong and Macau use traditional ones. Hong Kong documents are often Chinese-English and Macau documents Chinese-Portuguese, and the translation reflects both language parts.
A common mistake when writing names is to "correct" a Hong Kong name into pinyin. In Hong Kong passports and identity cards the name is, as a rule, romanized according to its Cantonese pronunciation - for example, the surname 陳 is written there as Chan, while in pinyin it is Chen. In an official translation we always keep the form used in the passport. The Hague Apostille Convention applies in the Hong Kong and Macau special administrative regions: in Hong Kong the apostille is issued by the Registry of the High Court, in Macau by the Legal Affairs Bureau (DSAJ). For mainland China the convention has been in force since 7 November 2023, so to choose the right certification route, it must first be established where the document was issued.

In such a case, not only the translation of the text but also certification of the translation may be required.
Notarization is often used for personal documents, company documents, bank statements, contracts, powers of attorney, consents, medical certificates, educational papers and other official materials. If you do not know whether your document needs certification, contact us in advance and we will advise you.
If you need a Chinese translation for official use, check in advance whether notarization is required.
Who needs a Chinese interpreter?
The services of a Chinese interpreter are needed by companies, importers, online shops, business representatives and people who work with Chinese companies, as well as private individuals who have a document in Chinese or need a Georgian document prepared in Chinese. Chinese translation is often connected with commercial relations, the purchase of products, manufacturing, technical information and official documents.
For companies, contracts, product descriptions, technical specifications, invoices, correspondence, offers and presentations are especially relevant. Private individuals, on the other hand, may need personal documents, medical certificates, educational documents or official letters translated.
Why is accurate Chinese translation important?
Accuracy is especially important when translating Chinese, because the Chinese language differs considerably from Georgian in its structure, its writing and the way it expresses meaning. A direct word-for-word translation is often not enough. The meaning of the text has to be understood correctly and rendered in such a form that the final text is clear and ready to use.
In business documents, the amounts, deadlines, terms, product description and details matter. In technical texts, precise terms are essential. In personal and official documents, attention is paid to first names, surnames, dates, numbers and the document's data. That is exactly why a Chinese translation has to be done with particular care.

A Chinese interpreter for business
Chinese translation is especially relevant for business. Many companies need to communicate with a Chinese manufacturer, supplier or partner. In such cases, a contract, an invoice, a product description, a technical specification, a commercial offer, correspondence, a presentation or other business material is translated.
Precise wording is important in a business text. If there is a mistake in the product description, the price, the quantity, the delivery terms or the deadline, it can lead to a real commercial misunderstanding. That is why a Chinese business translation has to be clear, carefully done and tailored to its purpose.
A Chinese interpreter for technical texts
Translation of Chinese technical texts may be needed for a product instruction, a device description, a specification, a catalogue, a user manual or other technical material. In such texts, precise terms and the practical usability of the text are important.
A technical document has to be translated in such a way that the user or specialist correctly understands how to use the product, the conditions, the functions and the safety information. That is why the text must not only be translated but also clearly formulated.
