Every order starts by checking which languages are used, which agency issued the document, whether it has a QR code or digital signature, how the name appears in the passport and where exactly the translation will be submitted. This matters most for birth, marriage, education, migration, tax and company documents.
Indian documents often combine Devanagari, English, abbreviations, the name of a state, a unique number and an electronic verification code on one page. All of these are checked together during translation.
Hindi into Georgian and Georgian into Hindi
Hindi into Georgian is typically used to submit personal, educational or commercial documents issued in India to Georgian bodies. Georgian into Hindi is needed when a Georgian certificate, contract, medical report or official letter is sent to an Indian organisation.
The style follows the purpose. In an official certificate, precise data comes first; in a contract, legal meaning and consistent terminology; in a medical document, the accuracy of diagnosis, tests, doses and dates; in a business text, professional and natural wording. Where required, the translation is prepared for notarization of the translator's signature.
Devanagari and India's other languages
Hindi is written mainly in Devanagari (देवनागरी). Letters, vowel signs and consonant clusters often form a single graphic unit, so losing one small mark on a poor photo can change a word or a name. Faint seals, old certificates, handwritten entries and copies of copies are especially difficult. Names and identifiers are checked against other documents, never matched by appearance alone; the whole word, the context and any parallel English entry are compared. Devanagari digits (० १ २ ३ ४ ५ ६ ७ ८ ९) look different from Latin ones and are checked separately.
India is multilingual. A Hindi document may be accompanied by English, Bengali, Marathi, Gujarati, Punjabi, Tamil, Telugu, Urdu or another language, so the language of each page and seal is established first. Where Hindi and English appear side by side, both are read and compared: sometimes the English heading is shortened while the Hindi text carries more detail, and translating only the English column would leave part of the document out.
Names, surnames and the passport's Latin form
The main reference for Indian names is the Latin form in the passport. A new variant created from Devanagari pronunciation may not match the passport, a ticket, a bank account or a university record, so please send the passport's biographical page with the order.
We pay attention to the order of given name and surname, middle names, initials and the mention of a father's or husband's name. Words such as पुत्र (son of), पुत्री (daughter of), पति (husband) or पत्नी (wife) may describe a family relationship and are not part of the person's name.

Birth, death and other civil records
India's Civil Registration System governs the registration of births and deaths, but the issuing office, form and language vary by state and local administration. A certificate may come from a Municipal Corporation, Municipality, Gram Panchayat, Registrar of Births and Deaths or a state department.
The translation shows the registration number, the dates of registration and of the event, place of birth, parents' details, address and any note on delayed registration. For marriage certificates we also check the legal basis of registration and the issuing body, because forms differ between personal laws and state procedures.
Aadhaar, PAN, DigiLocker and passports
Aadhaar is the 12-digit identity number issued by UIDAI to residents of India. The number, name, year or date of birth, gender and address are copied exactly; an e-Aadhaar may carry a digital signature and QR code, and a Masked Aadhaar hides the first eight digits. Aadhaar is never presented as a passport or proof of citizenship - the translation states only what the document itself confirms. Check whether the recipient needs the full or the masked version before sharing it.
PAN (Permanent Account Number) is India's tax identifier. For PAN copies, e-PAN, Income Tax documents and financial certificates, the exact sequence of letters and digits, the name and the status are kept. Bank statements and returns use IFSC, MICR, assessment year, financial year, deductor, assessee and TDS; codes stay unchanged. INR amounts stay in rupees - conversion is not part of the translation unless requested - and lakh and crore are handled with care.
DigiLocker is India's state platform for digital documents. An Issued Document and a file merely uploaded by the user do not have the same status, so the source is checked; the QR code, issuer name, URI, document ID, issue date and digital signature must stay visible and uncropped. Passport services run through Passport Seva; a Police Clearance Certificate, surrender certificate, emergency certificate or consular letter is a different document from a passport and is titled precisely.
e-FRRO and foreigners' migration documents
Registration of foreigners in India, visa extensions, changes of visa category, exit permits and similar services are largely handled electronically through e-FRRO. A Registration Certificate, Residential Permit or electronic decision may be issued as a PDF with the application number, visa category, address and validity. Abbreviations are expanded correctly, dates checked and the person compared with the passport. An online service does not mean every country accepts a printout - the receiving body decides.
School certificates, marksheets, degrees and recognition
Indian education documents are varied: CBSE, CISCE, state examination boards, universities, autonomous colleges and professional councils each use their own forms. One package may include a marksheet, passing certificate, degree certificate, provisional certificate, migration certificate and transcript.
Marksheet tables keep the list of subjects, maximum and obtained marks, grade, credit, result and notes. "First Division", "Distinction", "CGPA" or "Semester Grade Point Average" are never arbitrarily equated with a Georgian grade; their real meaning in the system is given. The status of an institution can be checked in the UGC's official lists, and the Association of Indian Universities plays a key role in equivalence of foreign qualifications. Translation and recognition are separate procedures: we translate the document, the competent body decides its academic equivalence.
Company, GST, legal, medical and income documents
Company. The Ministry of Corporate Affairs (MCA) manages public data on companies and LLPs: the CIN, LLPIN, status, registered address, authorised and paid-up capital and directors. A director's DIN, the company's CIN and the tax PAN are not interchangeable; each keeps its label and unchanged code. GST. GST documents use the GSTIN, legal name, trade name, principal place of business, registration type and tax period. CGST, SGST, UTGST and IGST are different tax components and are never merged into "tax"; HSN/SAC codes, invoice number, place of supply and reverse charge notes stay unchanged. Legal. Affidavits (शपथ पत्र), powers of attorney, undertakings, declarations, agreements, petitions, judgments and court orders, with legal terms chosen by function - an affidavit is not just a "statement", and an undertaking may be a specific obligation. See legal translation. Medical and income. Prescriptions, discharge summaries, diagnostic and pathology reports, plus salary slips, Form 16, experience certificates and loan documents, with doses, units, positions, periods, gross and net amounts and deductions kept exact. See medical translation.Apostille, e-Sanad and notarization in Georgia
In India, apostille and attestation of public documents are coordinated by the Ministry of External Affairs. e-Sanad supports online verification and attestation or apostille services, but not all documents follow the same route - personal, educational and commercial documents may need different initial authentication. Whether the original is apostilled before translation, or the translation is certified afterwards, depends on the country and body receiving the package. The apostille confirms the origin of the document, not the correctness of its content. See apostille and legalization.
In Georgia, the translator's signature is often notarized for official use. The notary does not check the content or the Indian agency's authority. If the translation is for use in India, check the bank, court, university, employer or state service in advance - some ask for additional action by the Indian embassy or consulate, or for English instead of Hindi.

Price and turnaround for Hindi translation
Cost depends on the pages, text volume, the mix of Devanagari and other languages, handwriting, tables, technical terms, file quality and notarization. Two one-page documents can differ greatly - a clear passport and an old handwritten civil record, for example. The price is by agreement and set after we see every page. See translation prices.
Assessment can be done online from Georgia or abroad; our office is at 118 Davit Aghmashenebeli Ave, Tbilisi. Photograph each page flat, with all four corners visible and no glare, and send multi-page packages as one PDF in the right order.
Already have a Hindi document? Send a full scan or clear photo - we will assess the volume, deadline, certification form and the right order of steps.

Can a Hindi translation be notarized?
Yes, it can be prepared for notarization of the translator's signature in Georgia. The final form must match the requirement of the receiving body - sometimes a certified translation is enough, sometimes an apostille or consular procedure is also needed.
When does an Indian document need an apostille?
When a public document issued in India is used in a Hague Convention country and the recipient asks for it. The sequence depends on the document type; personal, educational and commercial documents may need different initial authentication.
Can you translate a DigiLocker PDF?
Yes, if the file is fully legible and shows the issuer, document number, QR code or other verification element. Check whether the recipient accepts a digital copy, as some procedures still require the physical original.
Must all 12 Aadhaar digits appear in the translation?
It depends on the purpose and data protection rules. Sometimes a Masked Aadhaar is enough; if the recipient needs the full number, the translation must be based on a full, clear document.
If a document has Hindi and English, are both translated?
Normally all significant text is translated - Hindi, English, seals, stamps and handwritten notes. If the two language versions differ, the difference is checked and noted where needed.
How is a name brought from Devanagari into Georgian?
Not by pronunciation alone. The Latin form in the passport is checked first, then the Devanagari entry, which reduces the risk of different spellings across documents.
Can I order with only a photo or scan?
Yes. Assessment and translation can start from a clear photo or PDF, with every corner, seal, back side and attachment visible. The original or a certified copy may be needed later for official certification.
