Kazakh documents often contain special abbreviations, electronic verification marks, 12-digit identification numbers, different date formats and several written variants of a person's name. We check how each piece of data appears in the passport, the ID card, the civil registry record and the attachments, so that no legally significant difference is lost in Georgian.
A Kazakh document may be in Kazakh only, in Russian only or in both. The scope of translation is set by the official text actually in the document and by what the recipient requires.
Kazakh into Georgian and Georgian into Kazakh
Kazakh into Georgian covers certificates issued by Kazakh state bodies, personal documents, company extracts, educational and medical materials. Georgian into Kazakh is needed when a document issued in Georgia must be submitted to an institution in Kazakhstan.
Kazakh is written in Cyrillic with letters that do not exist in Russian: Ә, Ғ, Қ, Ң, Ө, Ұ, Ү, Һ, І. Ignoring them can change a word, a surname, a place name or an official term. We read the source as Kazakh, not as a technical variant of Russian.
Kazakh and Russian in one document
Official communication in Kazakhstan is often bilingual. In one certificate the heading may be in Kazakh, the explanatory part in Russian, and the seal or electronic mark in both. Sometimes the two texts are exact equivalents; sometimes one language adds an explanation or a specific data point.
Before translating we establish whether the Russian part exactly duplicates the Kazakh. Official documents are never shortened arbitrarily, so any differing information is fully reflected. If the recipient wants a translation of one language only, that must be stated clearly so the final package matches its format.
Kazakh names and the passport's Latin spelling
A surname can be written differently in Kazakh and Russian records, and the Latin form in the international passport may be a third variant. For official use, priority normally goes to the Latin form in the current passport.
The Georgian translation never creates a new, arbitrary transliteration. Where a document contains different forms, each keeps its place according to its source; an explanatory note may be added, clearly separated from the original text. If the passport and another document differ, we do not guess - we ask for the passport or another confirming document.
IIN, BIN and other identifiers
Kazakh documents often show the IIN (Individual Identification Number; in Kazakh ЖСН - Жеке сәйкестендіру нөмірі), a 12-digit number for a natural person. Legal entities use the BIN (Business Identification Number; БСН - Бизнес-сәйкестендіру нөмірі), also 12 digits.
These numbers are copied unchanged, and the order of digits, leading zeros, series and document numbers are never confused. The same applies to registration codes, cadastral data, bank accounts, licence numbers and electronic application IDs.
Civil status documents from Kazakhstan
Civil status documents are used for citizenship, marriage, inheritance, family reunification, residence and court cases, and even a small detail in them can carry legal weight.
Birth and marriage
- Birth certificate (Туу туралы куәлік): parents, place of birth, act number, issuer, repeat issue marks
- Marriage certificate (Неке қию туралы куәлік): surnames before and after, registration date, act entry
Divorce and death
- Divorce certificate (Некені бұзу туралы куәлік): grounds, date, court or registry reference
- Death certificate (Қайтыс болу туралы куәлік): personal data, place and date, act number, authority
Change of name
- Change of name, patronymic or surname
- Old and new data kept clearly apart
- Legal basis of the change stated
- Repeat and duplicate certificates marked
Certificates from eGov.kz and eGov Mobile
Documents from Kazakhstan's e-government system are often PDFs with a QR code, a unique number and an electronic signature or verification record. Some results are stored in the personal account, and citizens can show digital documents via eGov Mobile.
For these files we record the document type, date of issue, authority, digital validation marks and attachments along with the text. The content of the QR code is not translated automatically; the translation notes that the document contains a QR code or electronic verification. The recipient must confirm whether it accepts an electronic copy.
Identity card, passport, criminal record and archives
For ID cards and passports we transfer name, surname, date of birth, citizenship, sex, document number, validity and issuing authority exactly, checking the IIN on the ID card and the machine-readable zone of the passport with particular care. See passport translation.
A certificate of criminal record or its absence may be needed for employment, visas, residence, citizenship or foreign authorities. What matters is not only the result but the period covered, the issuing system, the person's IIN and the electronic validation data. Archive certificates may include Soviet-era place names, historical names of institutions or handwritten entries; the translation keeps the source form and separates old and new names clearly. See criminal record certificate translation.
Notarial documents, apostille and legalization
Kazakh powers of attorney, consents, statements, inheritance documents and signature certifications contain standard formulas, a register number, the notary's authority and electronic system marks, all translated in full. Notarization of a translation in Georgia and a translation certified by a notary in Kazakhstan are not the same: in Georgia the notary usually certifies the translator's signature. For use in Kazakhstan, confirm the final form with the receiving body or notary. See notarization.
Apostilles on Kazakh official documents are issued by different authorised bodies depending on the document type, and an electronic register allows apostille data to be verified. The apostille confirms the signature, position and seal, not the content. For use in Georgia or another Convention country, it is usually best to obtain the apostille first and then translate the whole package - main document, apostille stamp, extra sheet, seals and notes. Documents issued by consular bodies may follow a different legalization rule. See apostille and legalization.
Preparing a Georgian document for Kazakhstan
A Georgian birth or marriage certificate, criminal record certificate, diploma, registry extract, medical document or power of attorney may need an apostille, a Kazakh or Russian translation and certification before it is submitted in Kazakhstan. Choosing the language is not enough - check in advance which body will receive it, whether it wants Kazakh, Russian or both, whether it needs the original, a notarized copy or an electronic PDF, whether the apostille must be translated and whether a translation certified in Georgia is accepted.
Residence packages may include the passport, birth and marriage certificates, criminal record certificate, proof of accommodation, medical and financial or employment documents. A permanent residence permit and a residence certificate are legally different, and obtaining an IIN as a foreigner is a separate step. eResidency is a digital identification service, not a visa, citizenship or residence permit.
Education, company, employment, medical and legal texts
Education. School certificates, diplomas, transcripts, academic certificates and syllabuses, with subjects, credits, grading and qualification rendered correctly. A diploma and its supplement are separate documents often requested together. For recognition in Kazakhstan a notarized copy and translation may be required; under some international agreements an apostille may not be needed, depending on the issuing country and document. See diploma translation. Company. Full and short names, legal form, BIN, directors, legal address, status and activities; charters, founders' decisions, extracts, licences, invoices, contracts, bank statements and tax certificates, with numbers, currency, percentages, bank codes and signing authority double-checked. See registry extract translation. Employment. Contracts, employment certificates and work record books, with dates, order numbers, historical names of institutions and seals. For pensions, length of service or migration, ask the recipient for the full list first. Medical and legal. Doctor's reports, discharge summaries, lab and radiology results, vaccination records and insurance papers; judgments, claims, administrative acts and lawyers' letters, where Russian and Kazakh terms may run in parallel. Doses, units, procedural status, case numbers and deadlines are rendered exactly. See medical translation and legal translation.Soviet-era and modern documents, seals and QR codes
Older documents often use Soviet forms, Russian, handwritten data and historical administrative names; modern Kazakh documents may have QR codes, electronic signatures, eGov references and parallel Kazakh-Russian forms. A historical name is never replaced by the modern one as if the source said so; the modern name may be added as an explanation. Tables, columns, attachments, page numbers, seals and signatures follow the same logical order as the source, and QR codes, barcodes and signature blocks are noted, never replaced by invented text.
Photograph documents straight on, well lit and complete. Cropped seals, poor focus, glare, shadows or low resolution increase the risk of misreading a digit or a Kazakh letter. Name files "passport", "apostille", "attachment" or by page number, especially when one order covers several people.

Is a Kazakh document always only in Kazakh?
No. Many official documents in Kazakhstan are issued in Kazakh and Russian together or in one of them. We check which text is the official part and whether both language blocks need translating.
How are the IIN and BIN written in the translation?
The IIN is a natural person's 12-digit number, the BIN a legal entity's 12-digit business number. The abbreviation, its full meaning and the digits keep one consistent form, as in the source.
Can an eGov electronic certificate be translated?
Yes, if the text, QR code, verification data and electronic signature marks are clearly visible. Check separately whether the recipient accepts an electronic copy or needs a paper original.
Can a Kazakh translation be notarized?
Yes. In Georgia the translation can be prepared and the translator's signature notarized. For use in Kazakhstan the final form must match the receiving body's requirement.
Should the apostille be done before or after translation?
If the apostille must appear in the translation, it is safest to obtain it first and then translate the document, stamp, attachments and notes together. The exact order depends on the recipient.
Do you follow the passport for Kazakh names?
Yes. For international use the main form is checked against the passport's Latin spelling. Different spellings in Kazakh or Russian documents are not corrected arbitrarily and are noted where needed.
Can I order remotely?
Yes. Send a full, clear photo or PDF for assessment and we will tell you the price, deadline, language, notarization options and whether we will need to see the original later.
