Bengali (Bangla) Interpreter and Document Translation

Have a Bengali-language document from Bangladesh or India? We translate from Bengali into Georgian and from Georgian into Bengali - personal, civil, education, medical, consular, legal and business documents - with full control of names, numbers, stamps and electronic verification marks.

Bangladeshi documents are issued in Bengali script with English fields alongside, and digits are sometimes written in Bengali numerals. A birth certificate comes from BDRIS, identity data from the NID system and a company extract from RJSC. In translation, numbers and dates must come over exactly and the name must match the passport.

You need a Bengali interpreter when a document is written in বাংলা script or a Georgian text must be prepared in Bengali. The international name of the language is Bengali; its own name is Bangla. Understanding the words is not enough: the country of the document, the issuing body, the register number, the date format, the English entry and the official purpose must all be identified. We work on Bangladeshi birth and marriage records, National ID cards, e-Passports, police certificates, diplomas and mark sheets, company extracts, powers of attorney and medical material, and can also handle papers from West Bengal and other Bengali-speaking bodies in India - where identifying the country and state is especially important.

Bengali translation services

TARGMANEBI offers written translation in both directions: Bengali into Georgian and Georgian into Bengali. The service covers the meaning of the text, checking names and surnames, controlling numbers and dates, and describing stamps, seals, QR codes and handwritten notes.

  • Documents from Bangladesh or India
  • Official and private use
  • Bengali numerals converted exactly
  • Stamps and QR codes described

Georgian into বাংলা

  • For a consulate
  • For a family member
  • For a business partner
  • Names matched to the passport

  • Recipient requirement checked first

To translate Bengali correctly, language and jurisdiction must always be kept apart: the same বাংলা script may appear in a Bangladeshi or an Indian document, but their registers, certification and official forms differ.

Bengali, Bangla and the document's country

"Bengali" and "Bangla" name the same language, but before starting we confirm whether the paper was issued in Bangladesh or India. Bangladeshi documents often combine বাংলা and English fields, national register numbers and government online verification links. On Indian Bengali-language documents the form is set by the state, municipality, university or central body concerned. Getting the country wrong can change the authority's name, the certification route and the terms needed, so we check the header, emblem, website address, stamp and the structure of the registration number.

In Bangladesh বাংলা is the state language, and many official forms already carry a printed English translation or parallel English field. That field is a useful control source, but it does not mean the document is entirely in English or needs no further translation for a Georgian authority. In an Indian document Bengali text may sit alongside English or Hindi fields, and the function of each language section is assessed separately. See Hindi interpreter.

Bengali script is an independent writing system. Documents may use international digits 0-9 or Bengali numerals ০-৯ - for example, ২০২৬ means 2026. We carry numbers over in a clear Georgian format without changing the identity of the number. On some scans letters merge, diacritics disappear or the PDF is low quality; this matters most in names, district names and official terms, and an unclear part needs a better copy, not a guess.

Birth records, NID and e-Passport

BDRIS birth and death registration. The Bangladeshi Birth Registration Certificate is one of the most frequently translated documents. The record can be checked online in the Birth and Death Registration Information System, usually with the 17-digit Birth Registration Number and date of birth; that number comes over in full, with nothing dropped. The certificate may show the name in Bengali and English, the parents' names, place of birth, permanent address and registration office, and if the English name does not match the passport, the difference is flagged in advance. The record creation date and print date are not always the birth date and must be kept clearly apart. An online verification page can be added as supporting confirmation, but its legal acceptance is for the recipient to decide. See birth certificate translation. National ID. The Bangladesh National Identity Card is issued within the Election Commission's NID system and is used to identify a person; it does not replace a birth certificate. The card number, name in বাংলা and English, date of birth, parent's details, address and any status text all matter. Online account, correction and duplicate services are separate processes, and where the English name differs across documents we generally use the valid passport as the control form. e-Passport. The e-Passport is the international travel document, and its data page is the main source for transliterating the name. We check the surname and given names fields, nationality, place of birth, issue and expiry dates, issuing authority and the machine-readable zone. When a name moves from Bengali into Georgian, the passport's Latin form takes priority, since free phonetic rendering can drift from the official record - especially in visa, marriage, bank and residence cases. See passport translation. Names and addresses. One Bengali sound may be written in English several ways: Mohammad/Mohammed, Hossain/Hussein, Rahman/Rehman and similar variants are not a free choice for the translator to "fix"; the official Georgian version is compared with the passport. In addresses Division, District, Upazila, Thana, Union, Ward and Village are different administrative levels, and dropping or mixing them changes the location.

Marriage, police certificates and visa files

Marriage-related documents in Bangladesh may differ by religious and administrative process. A nikahnama, a Marriage Certificate, a registrar's entry and a court divorce document are not the same paper, and the translation must show exactly what each form confirms. If the document is used in Georgia for marriage, residence or family reunion, check with the recipient whether the certificate is enough or a family status letter, proof that a divorce has taken effect or a name change certificate is also needed. See marriage certificate translation.

The Bangladesh Police online system is used for police clearance certificates for international purposes. The person's name, passport number, address, police unit, issue date, seal and signature matter, and an electronic copy is not treated as equal to a printed, signed original by every authority. If a person abroad obtained the certificate through a representative, an authorization letter or certified passport copy may be attached; extra sheets are translated too if they form part of the legal package. See criminal record certificate translation.

Bengali translations are used in visa, residence, family reunion, employment, sponsorship and travel cases: invitations, address letters, work contracts, income documents, bank statements, proof of family ties and border explanations. In a consular application names, passport number, visit dates and accompanying persons' data must match - even one wrong digit can lead to extra explanations or a new translation. In bank statements, salary certificates, employment letters, tax papers, remittance receipts and sponsor statements, account numbers, amounts and currency stay unchanged, while period and balance explanations are rendered exactly.

Education, company and legal documents

Education. Bangladeshi education files often contain a Certificate, Marksheet, Academic Transcript, Registration Card and Testimonial. The mark sheet shows subject grades, the certificate the completion of a qualification or exam, and a university may need both. We keep subject names, exam year, roll and registration numbers, the GPA or grading system and the name of the issuing board or university; an unclear abbreviation is either expanded to its official full name or kept with a note. Names may differ slightly across sheets issued at different times, so diploma, mark sheet, registration card and passport are compared together. Grades are never converted into Georgian marks - equivalence is set by the recognition body, not the translator. See diploma translation. RJSC and BIDA. The Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms is Bangladesh's main registration body for companies and other entities. Material may include a Certificate of Incorporation, Memorandum and Articles of Association, annual return, share transfer, director details and a digitally issued certified copy, whose issue number, issue date and registration number stay unchanged. The Bangladesh Investment Development Authority's One Stop Service handles investor services - company papers, investment applications, work permits, visa recommendations and foreign staff contracts. BIDA registration and RJSC company registration are different processes: the first concerns investors and industrial projects, the second is the source of a legal entity's existence and corporate records. Legal and medical. Legal translation covers powers of attorney, consents, affidavits, court judgments, claims, replies, applications, company resolutions and agreements, where a term's everyday meaning often differs from its legal one. Seals, signatures, witnesses, notarial entries and lists of annexes are fully described, and a missing page or covered text is recorded, not silently filled in. Medical papers - diagnoses, discharge summaries, lab results, operation reports, prescriptions, vaccination records - often mix English medical terms with local explanation; dose, unit, side of the body, date and result get special control. See legal translation.

Electronic documents, apostille and notarization

Many Bangladeshi documents are verified online: the birth record, NID services, e-Passport applications, police certificates, RJSC certified copies and Ministry of Foreign Affairs attestation. A QR code or verification number is not "translated" - it remains the document's identifier. We check every page, the visual marks of a digital signature, the issue date and verification instructions; a photo of the QR code alone is not enough, as the full text and layout are needed. For a screenshot, please also send the official PDF, since a temporary interface message and an official certificate are different things.

Bangladesh has introduced an electronic apostille and document attestation system. The practical route depends on the document type, issuing body and receiving country; sometimes the document is first confirmed by a local authority and then processed in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs system. Before translation, find out whether the apostille or attestation goes on the original, the translation or both. Often the best route is final certification of the original first, then translation of the whole package, including the apostille text. See apostille and legalization.

In Georgia a "notarized translation" means the translator signs the translation before a notary, who certifies the signature. This does not confirm the authenticity of the Bangladeshi original and does not replace an apostille or consular legalisation - authenticity of the original, the translation itself and notarization of the translator's signature are three separate matters. For a Georgian document going to Bangladesh in Bengali, the recipient may want a Georgian apostille, consular certification or a translation in a particular language, so we first get the written requirement and then decide which sheets are translated and in what order certification is done. See notarization.

Identity checks

  • Name: same identity everywhere - passport Latin spelling
  • Date of birth: NID, BDRIS and passport match
  • Registration number: 17-digit BRN, NID, RJSC issue details

Document checks

  • Issuing body: header, seal, official portal
  • Seal and QR: a full visual description from a sharp scan or PDF
  • Certification route: the recipient's written instruction

How a Bengali translation order runs

1

Send every page

A clear photo or PDF showing edges, seals, QR code and the back.

2

Tell us the purpose

In which country and to which authority you will submit it.

3

We check the form

Language, country, pages, certification and name consistency are assessed.

4

Receive the translation

Delivered electronically or on paper, in the agreed form.

Deadline, price and ordering from abroad

The price depends not only on page count but on text density, script quality, handwritten entries, tables, stamps and notarization - a one-page NID card and a dense one-page mark sheet are not the same job. The price is by agreement, set with the deadline after we see the document; for urgent orders we also check translator and notary availability. See translation prices.

Documents can be assessed remotely. Our office is at 118 Davit Aghmashenebeli Ave, Tbilisi; from another city or country you can send a scan, get an estimate and agree how the final paper version is handed over. A PDF or a straight camera photo works best - an image compressed by WhatsApp can damage small বাংলা characters and seal details, so send the original file where needed.

Send the full Bengali document. We will check its country and type and tell you the certification needed, the deadline and the exact cost.

Frequently asked questions about Bengali translation

Are Bengali and Bangla the same language?

Yes. Bangla is the language's own name and Bengali the English one. When ordering, also name the country, as Bangladeshi and Indian document forms and certification procedures differ.

Can a Bengali translation be notarized?

Yes. In Georgia the translation can be prepared for notarization of the translator's signature. The final form should match the requirement of the authority where it will be submitted.

Can I send a Bengali document online?

Yes. Send a clear photo or PDF for assessment, with every page, seal, QR code, registration number and the back fully visible.

How is a Bangladeshi birth certificate verified?

The online birth record is often checked with the 17-digit Birth Registration Number and date of birth. The translation reproduces the number in exactly the same order.

Are the NID and the birth certificate the same document?

No. The National Identity Card is an identity document, while the Birth Registration Certificate confirms a civil status record. Their numbers, purpose and issuing systems differ.

How are Bengali names written in Georgian?

The Georgian form is checked against the passport's Latin entry. Free transliteration from Bengali script alone can produce a different form, so the passport is the best control source.

Should the apostille be done before translation?

Often the apostille or Ministry of Foreign Affairs attestation comes first, so its text is translated too. The exact order depends on the document's country and the recipient.
