Translation Bureau in Zestaponi

Zestaponi is Imereti's industrial town - a ferroalloy plant, a railway junction, metal and building material works that deal with foreign suppliers, buyers and engineers. Translation here is full of tables, units and diagrams, and one value carried across wrongly means a furnace stopped or a consignment returned. TARGMANEBI offers Zestaponi's plants, workers and families technical, legal and personal translation with notarization and apostille - without a trip to Kutaisi or Tbilisi.

A translation bureau for Zestaponi - TARGMANEBI's service for a town with an industrial profile. Zestaponi's plants receive ore, electrodes, spare parts and equipment from abroad and ship their output to Europe, Turkey and Asia; technical audits, certification and environmental reports are written to international standards; engineers and supervisors arrive from abroad. All of that creates a document flow that ordinary "certificate translation" cannot cover - it needs a technical translator who knows the vocabulary of ferroalloys, metallurgy and electrical engineering.

Beside the industry, Zestaponi is an ordinary Imeretian town: plant workers go abroad to work in the same trade and need their qualification documents, family members are in Europe, and young people go to universities in Kutaisi, Tbilisi and abroad. Both flows come in on one number, are followed by one manager and go back to Zestaponi on one courier run.

Technical documentation - what we translate for Zestaponi's plants

Technical translation differs from the ordinary kind in that here the text serves the tables, the units, the diagrams and the standard numbers rather than the other way round. Orders from Zestaponi test that principle daily:

Equipment and process

  • Operating instructions for furnaces, transformers and cranes
  • Technical passports and specifications
  • Installation and repair regulations
  • Process maps and descriptions of the process
  • Spare parts catalogues and codes

Safety and environment

  • Occupational safety instructions for workers, in Georgian
  • Safety data sheets for chemical substances (SDS)
  • Environmental impact reports and emissions protocols
  • Accident reports and investigation material
  • ISO and other standard audit reports

Trade and legal

  • Supply and export contracts
  • Tender documentation and proposals
  • Invoices, specifications, quality certificates
  • Claims, expert opinions, arbitration correspondence
  • Employment contracts with foreign specialists

A safety instruction is a category of its own: a worker has to read it and understand it, so the Georgian text must be not only exact but clear - short sentences, a consistent imperative form, and the same terms that are actually used on the shop floor. Such a text goes to a technical translator, and on request we agree the final version with the plant's safety engineer, so that the vocabulary of the workshop and the vocabulary of the document match.

Units, standards, terminology base

There are three typical sources of error in technical translation: units (metric tonne and short ton, bar and atmosphere, Celsius and Fahrenheit); standard numbers (GOST, EN, ASTM, ISO), which are never translated but only carried across; and the same piece of equipment named differently in different documents. So an order from a Zestaponi plant starts with a terminology base: from the very first document we fix what your plant calls a particular unit, process and product, and that base applies to every later translation. Units and standard numbers are compared against the original separately by the editor.

An instruction or a contract template translated once stays in the base - in a document for a new model or a new consignment only the changed part is translated. For a regular client that is several times cheaper than the first translation and keeps the terminology identical over years.

An interpreter at the plant

A visiting foreign engineer, the installation and commissioning of equipment, a technical audit, negotiations with a supplier, staff training - those are the occasions when an interpreter is needed in Zestaponi, and here technical knowledge matters no less than the language. The interpreter studies the technical documentation and the terminology base before the visit, interprets consecutively in the workshop, on the installation site and at meetings, and for a multi-day project the same interpreter is assigned throughout. English, Russian, Turkish, Chinese, German and other languages, by prior arrangement.

Documents for workers and specialists

When a metallurgist, electrician, welder or crane operator from Zestaponi goes abroad to work in the same trade, the employer needs documents proving the qualification: the vocational college diploma and supplement, upgrading certificates, the work record book or a service certificate, permits (for high voltage, for working at height, for cranes), and the medical examination certificate. These are translated into the employer's language, with notarization and often an apostille. One detail here decides the wage: "electric gas welder, 5th grade" translated word for word tells a foreign employer nothing - the grade and the trade have to come across in the equivalent of that country's qualification framework, and that is exactly what we do. In the other direction, a foreign specialist's diploma and certificates are translated into Georgian for the Zestaponi plant.

Family documents from Zestaponi

Outside the factory gates Zestaponi is an ordinary town and needs ordinary papers: certificates for an embassy in its language for a visa; a school certificate and transcript for a child applying in Europe; a power of attorney in Georgian from a relative abroad; a foreign contract for the bank; a Russian work record book for a grandmother's pension. All of it goes through the same chat, the same manager and the same courier as a plant instruction - only to a different translator.

Languages in orders from Zestaponi

Technical documentation reaches Zestaponi mainly in English and Russian, and, depending on the equipment supplier, in Chinese, German and Turkish as well. Ukrainian and Polish are the languages of workers' employment and traditional markets, Italian and Greek of family documents. French, Spanish, Arabic, Dutch and Czech are rare from Zestaponi and mostly tied to tenders and international certification.

The process for a plant and for an individual

1

A file in editable format

An instruction, a contract, a table - as Word, Excel or PDF, by email to info@targmanebi.ge; a certificate or diploma as a photo by WhatsApp. Drawings and diagrams translate faster with a separate list of the labels.

2

Destination and terms

Who the document is for - workers, a supplier, an auditor, an embassy - and whether you already have a term list or earlier translations. If you do, we use them.

3

Assessment and completion

We fix the price, the deadline and the need for certification after counting the volume. A technical text goes to a technical translator, and the editor checks the units, the standards and the figures.

4

Delivery in Zestaponi

You receive the file in the format you sent it in - an instruction ready to print for the shop floor. Certified paper comes by courier to the plant office or to your address; on a trip to Tbilisi you can collect it at the office.

Price, turnaround, confidentiality

A technical text costs more per page than an official document, because of the terminology and the checking, but it rarely needs certification, so no notary or apostille cost is added; contracts and workers' documents, by contrast, usually go with certification. Timing is counted by volume: a forty-page instruction rarely takes more than a week, a one-page certificate one day. Work with a plant is formalised by contract: settlement at the end of the month, a written obligation to protect technological and commercial information, and the same manager and translator for years. A formulation, prices and a supplier list will never appear as a sample. The other party to the contract is the sole trader Mariam Zumadze (ID 30601010853) - the owner of TARGMANEBI, who answers for a confirmed error free of charge and in writing.

A Zestaponi plant needing an instruction, a contract or an audit report translated? Or a worker taking qualification papers abroad? Send us the file - we will count the volume and tell you the deadline within the hour.

Frequently asked questions - translation in Zestaponi

The English manual for the furnace is 120 pages. Does all of it have to be translated?

Often not - the operation, safety and maintenance chapters are enough for the operator, while the production and storage chapters are understood in English by the engineer. Send us the contents page and we will choose together what to translate; that cuts the cost by two or three times.

In what format is a safety data sheet (SDS) for a chemical substance translated?

In the international 16-section structure, with the same numbering and headings, so that an inspector and a worker can compare it easily against the original. Hazard statements and pictogram descriptions are carried across in the standard Georgian wording, not as a free translation.

A Turkish engineer is coming for two weeks of installation. Can we have an interpreter for the whole period?

Yes - for a multi-day project the same technical interpreter is assigned and studies the equipment documentation in advance. The cost is calculated by days and fixed for the whole period in advance; travel to Zestaponi is shown separately.

I am a welder going to work in Poland. Which papers get translated?

A Polish employer asks for the welding certificate (with the method and positions stated), the vocational diploma, proof of service, and health and criminal record certificates in Polish, with an apostille and notarization. Welding method codes (111, 135, 141) stay unchanged, while the grade is carried across in its Polish equivalent. Send us the employer's list.

For a tender, does the translation of the ISO certificate and the audit report have to be notarized?

It depends on the tender conditions - some accept a translation certified with the bureau stamp, others require a notarized one. Send us the relevant clause of the tender documentation and we will match the form to it; certificate numbers and validity dates are checked against the original separately.

An accident report for a foreign insurer - how quickly?

We handle such a document on the priority queue - in one to two working days, with the bureau stamp or notarized, as the insurer requires. The report comes with a medical opinion, translated by a medical-profile translator; both go in one package.
